The general application to the camp will open in January provided that the starting group is strong and awesome enough to make it happen.
Next year’s Burning Man is 30/8-6/8.
We have been around 100 members most years and it has sometimes been a challenge to hold the camp together. Last year we were 45. The camp was warm and united. It was awesome! Maybe a little too few to make everything run smoothly. The sweet spot seems to be around 50-60 people: enough hands to build/run things, while keeping intimacy. That’s where I think we should aim for Nordic Paradise 2026.
We’ve always welcomed new members. In most years, only 15-25% have been part of Nordic Paradise/Camp before, while more than half were completely new to Burning Man. Some years, our camp has included people from over 20 countries, most of whom meet for the very first time on the Playa. It has been a challenge to integrate so many new members. I would like to swap those number around 2026. Aiming for at least 50% returning Nordic Paradise/Camp members.. This will reduce the workload before the burn, make integration easier and take us closer to our ultimate goal: to create a safe space where as many as possible can have as much fun as possible.
The same procedure as last year – it was a success. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We know how to do things in the desert now and can copy the working solutions from previous years (kitchen recipes, shade, water, electricity, showers, bar, DJ, chill space, massage, parties). A few tweaks and some new, but less prep, less confusion, fewer meetings, and more focus on building a strong and awesome group.

The starting group will have the 1:st meeting on Sunday 12:th of October at 18:00-19:30 CEST. Link will be e-mailed to those that have filed out the form above.
The meeting will focus on
1. The elephant in the room: “Should I/we stay or should I/we go?” Talking about pros/cons, expectations, requirements, potential blockers for you as a potential member and for Nordic Paradise 2026
2. Our home in the desert: Share ideas about the camp before making a decision about camp size, visions and budget.
3. Look at the camp questionnaire that should be submitted to Burning Man in December.
