Inventory

Includes: Inventory, Personal Storage & Trailer

The Inventory team is responsible for managing the camp’s inventory, including personal items, ensuring it is updated at the end of the event, and being present during strike and trailer loading. They handle the storage of private items, maintain an up-to-date inventory, collect storage fees, and manage “unclaimed” bikes and camping gear donated to the camp. The team also communicates storage rules to members in advance, explores expansion options if necessary, and oversees the trailer’s registration, tax payment, maintenance, and transportation arrangements to Burning Man.

Detailed description for camp members

The team is responsible for the camp’s inventory, including personal items. The team should maintain the inventory with all camp material and make sure this is updated at the end of the event. This will require presence during strike and loading of the trailer.

The team is responsible for the storage solution of all private items such as bikes, tents, yurts and boxes. This includes having an up-to-date inventory with all things and collecting storage fees from all members that have items in the storage.

The team should keep track of all “unclaimed” bikes and camping gear that have been donated to Nordic Paradise by former members and set up a system where new members can claim and pay for items prior to the event.

The team should inform all members of the rules for storage of private items well before the event. If needed, the team should also make plans for expanding the personal storage capacity.

The team is also responsible for the trailer and should make sure it is registered, tax paid, has a valid tile and is functioning. Arranging payments for parking and pulling of the trailer to BRC is also included in this area. The trailer should be inspected for errors and repairs done on site or ordered to be done by an outside party between events.
