The Logistics team is tasked with organizing orders and purchases of camp materials, coordinating with other teams for various needs, and ensuring all items reach the Playa. They collaborate closely with the Inventory team, compile a comprehensive shopping list, and are responsible for ordering and transporting all food for the build and the event to Burning Man. The team arranges the rental of trucks, oversees pick-up and transportation to and from BRC, and may assist in transporting larger items, such as bikes, though they are not responsible for private items.

Detailed description for camp members

The team is responsible for arranging orders and purchases of camp material and making sure all Nordic Paradise‚Äôs material gets to the Playa. This means that the team needs to coordinate with all other teams that might want to buy things to build or decorate stuff, music, food, shade etc., and also work in close collaboration with the team “Inventory” team to make sure there is room for all new items.

The team should compile a joint shopping list with material and food. (The shopping list for food should be prepared by the team “Food”.) However, the Transport team is responsible for ordering and transporting all the food for the build and the event to BRC.

The team should rent one or more trucks well in advance and arrange with pick-up and driving to and from BRC with all material. Several rounds to and from Reno might be needed in order to get everything on site. The Transport team is NOT responsible for private items, but should assist in getting larger items, e.g. bikes to BRC if possible.
