The Finance team will oversee all economic transactions of the camp. This includes a system to accept payment of camp fees and deposits. Setting up a system for reimbursements and administrating payments from the camp. The Finance team should have an active communication with the treasurer of Nordic Camp NPO, since all economic transactions will use the NPOs bank account. The finance team shall also collect all receipts and hand them over to the treasurer of Nordic Camp NPO post event. The budget is set by the core camp leads. However, adjustments need to be done during the process of preparation and it is the finance lead’s (not team) responsibility to coordinate and approve such changes. After the event, the finance team should close the economic books and report the results. 

Tasks

  • Responsible for the economic status of the camp
  • Setting up a budget together with all other leads
  • Setting up a system for payment of membership fees and deposits
  • Continuously keeping the accounting up to date
  • Collecting receipts on all expenses
  • Making sure payments are done in a timely manner
  • Report the economical results post the event.
  • Redistributing the funds based on actual expenses. 
  • Assist Nordic Camp NPO treasurer in matters related to Nordic Paradise (BRC)

LEAD – Minimum requirements

  • Have been to BRC before
  • Experience in accounting
  • Well oriented in making budgets and controlling
  • Dedicated to the camp (No doubts about going to BRC)

Desirable skills / qualities

  • Have been member of Nordic Camp/Paradise before
  • Education in accounting
  • Previous financial lead role
  • Well organised and structured
