“Anyone may be a part of Burning Man. We welcome and respect the stranger. No pre-requisites exist for participation in our community.”
Radical inclusion is one of the 10 principles of Burning Man (Link)
To us it means that we want to include you into our camp’s community both in terms of how you feel and finding your team, motivation and tasks. We want you to be a part of “us” and enable the realization of what we dream of.
We do perfectly understand that it can be hard to grasp how to contribute and to find your place in an organization that is new to you. Therefore, we have introductional meet-ups for new members and we also have a mentor program where an old member and a new member of the camp gets paired together.
Radical inclusion means that you are welcome and invited. But we think that respecting each others’ boundaries and coexisting in our social context is key for everyone having a good time. We have zero tolerance towards consent violations – Learn about consent (Link)
